Mr. Harrity joined the Babson College faculty in the fall of 1997 following four years on the Advisory Board of Babson's Center for Real Estate. Mr. Harrity has spent 20 years in the commercial real estate industry including his current role as Managing Director of Matrix Real Estate Advisors, Inc., a consulting firm that provides strategic advice to real estate investors and users, asset management for individual and institutional owners, and advisory services for capital transactions.

Prior to founding Matrix, Mr. Harrity was a principal of Commonwealth Realty Associates, Inc., which advised institutional clients on commercial property acquisitions and sales. From its founding in 1982 until 1993, Mr. Harrity was a vice president and principal of Copley Real Estate Advisors, Inc., where he oversaw a portion of the firm's $6 billion investment in joint ventures, managed local development projects, and directed work-outs for troubled investments.
