Dr. McKenzie joined the Babson faculty in September 1978. He teaches applied statistics in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, and is the current coordinator of statistics for the Mathematics and Sciences Division. He is also a coadvisor of Babson College's two undergraduate rugby clubs. He received the Robert L. (Doc) Laurence Award from the New England Rugby Football Union in 2000. Dr. McKenzie is an active alumnus of Amherst College where he was presented the Distinguished Service Award.
His scholarly interests are in the areas of statistical education and statistical computing and he has written and presented extensively on these subjects. Areas of expertise are applied statistics, statistical education and statistical computing. Dr. McKenzie has coauthored five books: Elementary Statistics Using MIDAS, A Study Guide to Accompany Basic Statistics for Business and Economics, two editions of The Student Edition of MINITAB for Windows and the Student Guide to Minitab.
Dr. McKenzie is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA) from whom he received a Founders Award. He served twice on the Association's Board of Directors and is active in a number of other professional organizations. Areas of expertise include: Statistical Education, Applied Statistics, Math Education and Quantitative Methods.
