James M. Hunt is an Associate Professor of Management and the Charles Barton Term Chair holder. He teaches management, strategic human resource management and leadership at the graduate, undergraduate and executive education levels.  James is Faculty Co-Director of the Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program at Babson, now celebrating it's 10th anniversary. The Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program has provided developmental coaching for several thousand Babson students since 1996.   James is also Faculty Co-Director of the Coaching Inside the Organization Program: The Certification Program for Internal Coaches.  Coaching Inside the Organization is for experienced human resources and organizational development professionals as well as line managers who are sponsored by their companies and who provide developmental coaching to leaders within their firms as a part of their work responsibilities.  (http://cmweb.babson.edu/ExecEd/individuals/prog_CIO.aspx)

James is the co-author (with Professor Joseph Weintraub also from Babson) of two books on coaching, The Coaching Manager, Developing Top Talent in Business (2002) and The Coaching Organization, A Strategy for Developing Leaders (2006).  Both are available from Sage Publishing.  James is also the author or co-author of numerous articles on developmental coaching and leadership development. 

“Learning Developmental Coaching,” also co-authored with Professor Weintraub (Journal of Management Education, 2004), received the “Best Paper in Management Development Award” from the Academy of Management in 1999.
