Dr. Vlock teaches Rhetoric and Foundation courses at Babson. The author of Dickens, Novel Reading, and the Victorian Popular Theatre (Cambridge UP) and numerous articles on nineteenth-century English literature and culture, her interests are interdisciplinary and historical. Areas of special interest include music and literature, Victorian theatre, Victorian science and politics. Dr. Vlock is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships, and is also a writer of fiction. Currently in the planning stage: a monograph on historical revision in the 19th century, tentatively titled Mozart Among the Victorians.
