Having recently received an M.F.A., Dr. Johnson is continuing to work on a memoir she started in the Low-Residency Creative Writing Program at Lesley University.  She has written several essays on film, media, and cultural studies topics, ranging from scientific imaging of human bodies to popular representations of women in film and television.  Her essays have been published in a variety of academic journals as well as in edited collections.  She has taught at Wellesley College, MIT, Emerson College, and the University of Texas at Austin.
