John Hogan joined the faculty as an adjunct professor in the Spring of 2006. His areas of interest are activity-based costing, budgeting and financial reporting. Mr. Hogan is currently a financial consultant for JPMorgan Chase, which provides a variety of financial services including commercial banking, investment banking and M&A services. He previously consulted on an SEC-mandated 5 year financial restatement project for Navistar International, a commercial truck manufacturing firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Hogan is a founder of the fund administration department at Brown Brothers Harriman, a major custodian bank, where he was employed for ten years. Prior to his employment at BBH, he worked at The New England and Moseley Hallgarten, Estabrook and Weeden. Mr. Hogan was previously an instructor in accounting at Boston University.
John is the co-author of “Copley Bank”, an activity-based costing management teaching case study focused on the financial services industry.
