Patricia Arend is a Lecturer in Sociology at Babson College, teaching intermediate level courses. Professor Arend previously taught at Northeastern University, Boston College and Harvard University. She has published in Race and Society and Journal of Consumer Culture. Her co-edited book Culture, Power, and History: Studies in Critical Sociology was published by Brill in 2006. Currently, she plans to complete her Ph.D. in 2009 with a dissertation entitled “Dream Weddings: Fantasy, Femininity and Consumer Desire.”
