Professor Holt is the Director of Natural Sciences at Babson College. He is a former Director of Space Sciences at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He has previously taught at New York University and the University of Maryland. His astrophysics research interests have included the utilization of X-rays and gamma-rays to study celestial "black holes," and his work has resulted in more than 200 publications in the form of books and scientific journal articles. He concurrently serves as Professor of Physics at the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Areas of expertise include: Math and Sciences, Astrophysics, Science and Business Education, Science for Nonscience Majors, and Technology and Human Values.
