Babson’s MBA elective curriculum provides an opportunity for students to build on the foundational knowledge learned during the required core curriculum, and to align educational goals with post-graduation plans. The elective courses also provide a cross-program networking opportunity, as they are offered to students in full-time and part-time MBA programs.
In-classroom electives are offered in the following disciplines: Accounting & Law, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Technology, Operations and Information Management, Management and Marketing. To enhance scheduling opportunities for both part-time and full-time students, intensive electives are offered in these disciplines allowing students to earn credit in a condensed time period.
Outside the Classroom Electives
Babson MBA students have several credit-earning opportunities that will help enhance their application of what they learned in the classroom. These opportunities include electives abroad, independent research and working with global and domestic organizations to help solve their business challenges.

If a student chooses to focus their electives in a particular area, there might be an opportunity to declare a concentration.
