Biographical
Born in Chicago in 1946, Lee attended Georgetown University (A.B.,1968) and the University of Chicago (M.B.A.,1972). He joined Salomon Brothers in 1973. Before coming to Babson he was Dean and Charles C Abbott Professor of Business Administration at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Became President of the College of Charleston 2001.
Babson Years
Founded the Center for Technology and Enterprise.
Built the Stephen J. Cutler Investment Management Center and the Sorenson Studio Arts Center.
Dedicated the Reynolds Campus Center, The Sorenson Center for the Performing Arts, the Glavin Chapel, and the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship.
He promoted the Center for Women’s Leadership.
Institute for Latin American Business and Asia Institutes are launched.
Olin College of Engineering has its groundbreaking on land purchased from Babson College.
The Entrepreneurship Intensity Track debuts.
