8/28/08 - W Tennis
Coming off a magnificent season in which they went 15-8 and finished 16th in the Northeast regional rankings, the Babson women's tennis team appears to be poised for another stellar campaign in 2008-09. After featuring one of the youngest squads in the league over the last three seasons, Babson now boasts its deepest and most experienced lineup in years. Leading the way will be the quartet of senior captain Kali Hogan (Clinton, Mass.), senior Courtney Farrell (Burlington, Mass.), senior Heather Walsh (Warwick, R.I.), and junior Jes Huang (Andover, Mass.), who combined for 50 of the team's 78 singles victories and 29 of its 41 doubles wins in 2007-08. 8/28/08 - W Volleyball
After posting its highest conference finish in 10 years last fall, the Babson women's volleyball team has high hopes for the 2008 campaign. The Beavers return all but three players from last year's roster, including seven athletes that played at least 70 of the squad's 80 games. Anchoring the lineup this fall will be the veteran quartet of senior tri-captain Ryan DePaoli, junior tri-captain Rebecca Rydzik, junior Caitlin O'Neill, and junior Shanna Glassner . DePaoli led the team and ranked ninth in the league with 321 digs at libero last season, while Rydzik added 129 digs from the opposite position. O'Neill led the Babson attack with 155 kills from the middle spot while also posting a team-high 50 blocks, and Glassner registered 400 assists. [+]

8/25/08 - M Soccer
With nine players lost to graduation, the Babson College men's soccer team will feature a much different look in 2008. However, the Beavers should continue to feature plenty of firepower up front thanks to the return of 2006 All-American and all-time leading goal-scorer Tim Winn (Sutton, Mass.), as they look to remain one of the top soccer powers in the region. Last fall, Babson went 12-6-2 and advanced to the NEWMAC Finals for the second straight season. At the heart of the team's success was Winn, who led the conference and broke his own single-season school record with 17 goals while also totaling a league-high 37 points. Along the way, he became Babson's all-time goals leader with 42 and collected his second straight NEWMAC Player of the Year award. [+]
