Addie Swartz is the principal creator and CEO of B*tween Productions, Inc, publisher of the Beacon Street Girls book series.
Addie founded Beacon Street Girls in 2002 to provide positive role models and healthy messages for pre-teenage girls, whatever their challenges. A longtime entrepreneur with a commitment to developing quality educational products, Addie founded BrightIdeas in 1992, which sold children’s learning software to parents and teachers. BrightIdeas was acquired by Addison Wesley in 1996.
Addie has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine, Working Woman Magazine, Child Magazine, Working Mother Magazine, Good Morning America and MSNBC. Addie has also held senior positions at The Walt Disney Company, Lotus Development, and Reebok.
Addie currently lives in Boston with her husband and two daughters, ages 11 and 14. She is a graduate of Stanford University, and received her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
