The Bernon Center for Public Service coordinates volunteer and community service activities with various local and national community service agencies. We offer one time and on going volunteer opportunities for Babson students, staff, and alumni. Last year Babson provided over 16,000 hours of service.

Habitat for Humanity Alternative Spring Break Trips ‘08
The Bernon Center and Habitat for Humanity have teamed up to sponsor two alternative spring break trips March 16th-21st. Brian Duggan and Dennis Hanno will lead a team of twelve students to San Salvador, El Salvador and work along side 800 international and domestic volunteers building homes, after the natural disaster of hurricane Mitch. Josh Stevenson and Denning Aaris will lead a second team to Thibodaux, Louisiana, and work along side twelve Babson students and staff members. They will be building homes as part of the Katrina relief effort.
Women Giving Back Toiletry Drive
Women Giving Back co-sponsored with the Bernon Center will have a toiletry drive till March 14th in the Reynolds campus center. All items will be donated to Volunteers of America where then can be distributed to local homes in Boston.
Beaver Nation Clothing Drive
SGA is teaming up with the Bernon Center and Babson’s RA’s to help provide critically needed items of clothing to the homeless around Boston. This is a great opportunity to take a second out of your busy day and help out someone who really needs it. SGA will be collecting items of clothing around campus until March 12th
Babson College Skate-A-Thon
On April 5th to the 6th the Babson College Skate -A-Thon will take place to benefit the Bay State Branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Association from 10PM-10AM. Registration is $5, skate for an hour or 12 hours it is up to you. Sponsored by the FME Business FreshScentz, the Babson Skating Rink and the Bernon Center for Public Service.
