On Wednesday, March 30, 2005, International Student & Scholar Services hosted an “International Tea” for five visiting scholars and ten exchange students in the Trim Faculty Dining Room.

The visiting scholars are sponsored by various Babson departments and represent universities abroad in five different countries at which Babson College faculty have developed research relationships.  These include:

  • Els Van de Velde
    Universiteit Gent, Belgium

  • Anna Stafsudd
    Lund University, Sweden

  • Veronika Aegerter

While enjoying the flavors of international teas, coffees and pastries, the honorees informally discussed their research with an audience of faculty, staff and students. For more details on the visiting scholar’s research, keep your eyes open for our international scholar updates in upcoming editions of the Galvin Center Newsletter.

Every year, Global Program Services, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) assists faculty and staff hosting visiting scholars. ISSS provides immigration documents and assistance, as well as a brief orientation session for each scholar. Both Babson College and our visiting scholars benefit from this wonderful connection and sharing of resources and knowledge.
