The Asia Institute at Babson (AIB) engages in the following:
Creating Partnerships with Educational Institutions in Asia
AIB establishes partnerships with major corporate universities, top business schools, and newly created private business schools in Asia. In a manner specific to Asia, AIB-associated faculty train faculty and lecturers from local institutions in the development and delivery of world-class management education.
Fostering Research and Advising Projects
AIB researches and advises on projects related to business and economic issues relevant to managers in Asia. This puts the most current management theories, analytical techniques, and academic case studies into a useful context for business people in Asia.
Creating Educational Materials Relevant to Asia
AIB develops educational materials, including cases and industry notes, about issues important to managers and companies in Asia. These materials enrich course work both within the Asia program offerings and in Babson's undergraduate, graduate, and executive education.
Delivering Management Education Programs in Asia
AIB designs, develops, and delivers Babson-quality management education programs expertly adapted to the Asian environment. These programs are delivered by Babson faculty from Babson Executive Education to companies in Asia, to managers from Asia who visit Babson College, and via distance learning. These programs use research and educational materials developed by Asia Institute.
Building the Babson Community in Asia
AIB strengthens the Babson relationship within the Asian community through alumni events, professional seminar, and receptions for potential students and friends of the College. The vibrant Babson community in Asia—alumni, parents, friends, and business associates—provides an invaluable resource for information concerning Asia business and educational issues.
