The Europe Institute is partnering with the Institute for Family Enterprising at Babson College and leading institutions in Europe to address the entrepreneurial needs of business families.   Families constitute the dominant form of businesses worldwide and face the continuity challenge of how to generate new streams of wealth across generations.  The STEP Project is a global applied research initiative that explores Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices in order to create a stream of powerful practices and cases that empower families to continue their entrepreneurial legacies.  The knowledge generated will be dispersed in leading academic journals, published case books, and in solutions oriented educational events such as yearly Summits.  The Summits will provide a shared learning environment for researchers, professors and family business leaders to discuss how to apply the STEP findings.

The STEP Project advances the goals of the Europe Institute by:

  • Extending the Europe Institute’s network and deepening existing relationships with leading institutions in Europe.
  • Advancing the Europe Institute’s commitment to research and programs which have a meaningful impact on the European region.
  • Giving the Europe Institute and its European partners a key role in the leading-edge dialogue around transgenerational entrepreneurship through the global network of leading families and institutions.
  • Generating new educational opportunities for the Europe Institute’s partners and constituencies.
