The first part of the course will consist of a pre-departure session at Babson, focusing on the background for the course. During our pre-departure session, we will go over the syllabus, provide information about what to expect and how to behave during our stay in Brazil, examine key aspects of the country, do a case study on a Brazilian company and attend student presentations on major Brazilian industries. In this way you will be prepared before visiting the country and companies. The second part of the course will consist of five days of a combination of company visits and in-class lectures in São Paulo, hosted by the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), Brazil’s premier business school and economic research organization. The lectures will be delivered by FGV and Babson faculty and guest speakers from government and industry.
Transportation: The program travel dates are March 12-21, 2010. A group flight will be arranged by the program, and details on the flight will be provided to enrolled students through the program manager. It is important to note that the flight cost is not included in the program fee.
