Costs
The total cost of your program will vary greatly, depending upon where you decide to study. In all instances you will be paying Babson College tuition. Other expenses such as room and board, travel, visa and passport fees, insurance, local transportation and personal expenses will be your responsibility. In almost all cases, the total cost of tuition, room and board while studying abroad is less than that paid while at Babson. To give you a general idea of the costs for study abroad by region, please refer to the table below.
Financial Aid
Financial aid available to study abroad consists of:
- Institutional grant funding equal to what you have received for the semester at Babson College (for current Babson grant recipients).
- Federal/state grant funding equal to what you would have received for the semester at Babson College (for current federal/state grant recipients).
- Study abroad stipends ($1,000) for selected students (awarded by Babson College based on financial need).
- For AIFS and IFSA-Butler University consortia programs, consortia-sponsored scholarships (some merit-based and some need-based, typically ranging from $500 to $1,000). A separate scholarship application is required. Click here for the AIFS scholarship page, and here for the IFSA-Butler University scholarship page.
- Federal and private student/parent loans available to cover all other costs related to study abroad.
Once you are accepted into a program, you must make an appointment to see your financial aid counselor in Student Financial Services. Your counselor will advise you about your financial eligibility and what forms you will need to sign to receive your disbursement(s).
