Semester Abroad Advising
The Office for International Programs has a team of education abroad professionals who are available to assist students in the study abroad process.
Education Abroad Advisors aid students in choosing study abroad programs that best fit their academic and cultural interests, facilitate pre-departure orientations for semester abroad students, provide assistance to students while abroad, and process study abroad transcripts and course approvals for transfer credit.
Babson Abroad 101: General Information Sessions
Students considering study abroad during an upcoming semester should attend before meeting with an Education Abroad Advisor.
Held every Tuesday from 12:30-1:00 p.m. and every Wednesday from 5:00-5:30 p.m. in the Reynolds Back Dining Room, these meetings will explain the semester abroad approval process, factors to consider when selecting a program, the semester abroad application process, and other important information. Attendance of a Babson Abroad 101 session is required in order to participate in the Babson College Semester Abroad Program.
Regional Information Sessions
During the Fall semester, advisors will lead .
These sessions will discuss all program options for the particular region giving students an overview of the Babson-approved programs available for semester abroad. The sessions will be led by the Education Abroad Advisor responsible for that region and will help students narrow down program choices.
Advising Appointments
Students with more specific questions regarding study abroad may make an appointment to meet with an Education Abroad Advisor.
Students seeking general advice on the study abroad process should attend a Babson Abroad 101 session and/or visit Open Advising hours before making an appointment with an advisor. To schedule an appointment, students should contact the Office of International Programs front desk at 781-239-4565, making sure to indicate which advisor they wish to speak with and the purpose of the appointment.
Before scheduling an appointment, students must attend Babson Abroad 101 and should complete the Education Abroad Interest Form in the Academic Section of the Babson Portal. The Interest Form helps the advisors better understand your interests and ultimately, provides better advising.
