The formulation of three new undergraduate global concentrations by the Glavin Center gives students the opportunity to develop in the areas of “International Business Environment”, “Global Business Management”, and “Global and Regional Studies”. Each concentration is designed to offer students a breadth of knowledge in the areas of international and global business environments and requires students to select four courses equaling 16 credits from a list of primary and secondary course listings. In collaboration with the Glavin Center for Global Management, other divisions including the Management, Marketing, Economics, Arts and Humanities and History and Society Divisions worked together to provide these meaningful concentrations to students who are interested in careers with a global context. Furthermore, as a requirement for the “Global Business Management” concentration, students must have an international experience which might include Education Abroad, J-MCFE, MCFE with international content, Off-shore course or participation in an International Project or Independent Study approved by Office of International Programs. The depth and flexibility built into these concentrations will help students tailor these concentrations to their specific interests. Students can select two concentrations to show on their transcript and students will be advised by Office of International Programs as well as other academic divisions.
