The class will be taught through the use of 30 case studies and “personal war story experiences” learned from hundreds of successful and unsuccessful businesses, many of with which I have been associated. In each of these cases and scenarios we will explore the multigenerational dynamics and issues that constrain or enhance the change and growth processes. We will also have guest speakers that bring their multigenerational perspective on growth and change so that you can interact with their thinking. The class will definitely be an outside of the box experience for you. Topics include: Understanding the senior generation entrepreneur, understanding the next generation entrepreneur, cultural patterns in family groups, performance and risk profiles of families, who’s money is it, great fights-great tests, family conflicts, sibling teams, can a family be a team, negotiating with your family, leadership development and mentoring, leadership and ownership succession, gender and sibling issues, and planning and professionaliztion.
