January 9-11, 2008

undefined

Entrepreneurship educators joined real-life entrepreneurs to learn about entrepreneurship content and pedagogy at the 2008 Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators (BabsonSEE) in San Juan Puerto Rico, from January 9 – 11th, 2008.

Babson College and Grupo Guayacan, Inc. developed a customized version of BabsonSEE for entrepreneurship educators in Puerto Rico.  The intensive three-day program explored the entrepreneurial process and core topics in the discipline.  49 participants from throughout Puerto Rico were in attendance.  The goal of the program was to help all participants become more effective, innovative teachers of entrepreneurship.  Topics covered included:

  • The Case Study Method along with several cases
  • The Entrepreneurial Perspective on Teaching
  • Mapping the Territory and the Entrepreneurial Mindset - delivered in Spanish
  • Extending Entrepreneurship Education
  • Idea Lab
  • New Venture Creation
  • Entrepreneurship at Your Institution
  • From Family Business to Family Enterprising: a Next Generation Approach - delivered in Spanish
  • Entrepreneurship Curriculum Design
  • Alternate Pedagogies for Entrepreneurship Education
  • The Entrepreneurial Mind in Action
Babson’s Jeffry Timmons, Walter Esquivel and Andrew (Zach) Zacharakis were the faculty team for this program.

BabsonSEE is a global initiative based on the flagship Price-Babson Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators held annually at Babson College. Over sixteen hundred people worldwide are alumni of Price-Babson SEE and related programs.
