Abstract

Mark Culinski has recently joined Elderline Communications, a startup that is feeling a growing pressure to conserve cash and to raise money. Based out of the home of one of the founders, Elderline Communications is a voice application service provider for the healthcare industry. Although the startup has had growing number of hard-working and unpaid employees, Mark and his partners are assessing ways to fundamentally change the cost structure of the business. In addition, they are also deciding on the best method of raising capital funds to move the company forward – one option being considered is hiring an investment consultant.
