This event will inspire you, challenge you, and help you to build your business based on your values.

Please join us if you want to:
  • Make a positive impact on the local and global community, and actively contribute to the greater good.
  • Create corporate cultures that engage all stakeholders in open-hearted dialogue embracing the diversity of ideas, beliefs, faiths, and backgrounds.
  • Foster integrity and honesty by modeling congruent and principled leadership.

Creating Business Values to Make the World Better

In 1998, the First International Symposium on Business and Spirituality was held and attracted over 300 people from all parts of the US and five other nations. This year will mark the tenth time those of us interested in integrating our spiritual lives into the world of business have gotten together for this symposium.

In past symposia, participants have heard successful and leading-edge business leaders share how they have worked to integrate their deepest values in their work.
As the first winner of the Aaron Fuerestein Spirituality and Business Award, Jeffrey Swartz , said, "Our core values and the financial objectives of our business are inextricably linked and cannot be separated."

Our world has benefited greatly from the important dialogue that past symposia has facilitated and these conversations have played a role in moving the world of business toward seeing the need to integrate values into the life of business.

Our Tenth Symposium will again feature several successful business leaders who will share the knowledge they've gained and the lessons they've learned as they've taken their deepest values to work and succeeded in changing our world through their business.

Tom and Kate Chappell founded and led the personal health care company, Tom's of Maine, for over thirty years and are the winners of the Aaron Feuerstein Spirituality and Business Award. These two highly-respected entrepreneurs will jump-start the symposium by sharing the lessons they've learned through leading a business based on spiritual values, and talking about why they decided to sell their company to a large corporation.

Well-known author and creative thought-leader, Frances Moore Lappe', will close the symposium with a challenging presentation about how the world of business plays a pivotal role in building a just society and saving our planet's precious eco-system.
