Basic Steps for Advanced Search 

Click the Advanced Search option on the left side menu bar. Enter a word, phrase, or words/phrases linked with AND or OR. When phrases are entered, InfoTrac will look for all words in the order given. For example: electronic commerce or e-commerce. To modify a search, choose Back to.. Search and you may use the previous search results (the R1 numbers) to combine with another term(s). Example: R1 and (marketing or advertising) The Advanced Search method can be used to search subsets of the Business and Company ASAP such as the Company Profiles (over 200,000 global companies of all types), SIC Descriptions (Standard Industrial Classification codes can help to find articles and companies in a specific industry group), and Investext (investment analyst or brokerage house reports). Note: When viewing records, many pre-1980s items with BUS.COLL-numbers can be found in the library on the first floor near the microfilm collection. We own cartridge numbers starting with 2N through 74Z.

Segment or Field Searching Databases use different codes to allow you to search by specific field. This can help to narrow your search to a specific publication, author, or date. Choose ADVANCED SEARCH.

Mark the items you wish ... then email, print, save. It's best to choose the PRINT option so it trims the left menu bar, saving paper!
