Databases and Options

Mergent allows you to find information on both individual companies (both domestic and international public companies) and industries.

Basic Steps for Obtaining Company Information

The "Basic Search" tab allows you to search for a company by Company Name or Ticker Symbol. With the "Advanced Search" function, you can specify a wide range of criteria to search by. All Advanced Searches are automatically saved on the search page under "Recent Searches" for future reference.

Basic Steps for Filings Search

You can search for company filings under the "EDGAR Filings" tab. You can search for a company's filings by date and type of filing. Once you find the correct filing, you can view the text document in Word or download all the tables in the filing into Excel.

Scope

FactSheets:  Presentation quality one page equity analysis stock summaries. More than 1500 NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX companies' reports are updated quarterly with critical investment information, including summaries of recent quarterly results, analyses of future prospects, income statement and balance sheet information, key operating statistics and ratios. Factsheets Express:  Available on 10,000 U.S. and Canadian companies, these presentations-quality summary equity reports are posted in Adobe Acrobat PDF format and updated with weekly closing prices. Each company report covers 15 year stock price and volume chart, summary of annual financials, recent dividends and splits, recent quarterly earnings, transfer agent, key financial ratios, institutional holdings summary. Mergent Industry Reports provided in-depth analysis of key industries covering United States and Canada, Asia Pacific and Europe.
