| Basic Steps | Search There are several ways to find a book: · Quick Search: Search by keyword or phrase (use quotation marks for phrases). Use the dropdown menus to choose where you want to search: the entire site, titles only, code fragments only, etc. Search results can be sorted by Title, Publisher or Date. See Advanced Search Tips section for more search options. Results can be further narrowed by using the “Results by Category” links on the left hand side of the page. · Advanced Search: Use Advanced Search to help target your search. Search the current book only, search by keyword, phrase, code fragment, section title, words in titles, in specific categories, from a specific author/publisher/ISBN/year. · Browse by Category: Click on a category in the list on the left hand side of the screen to see books in that category. Results can be sorted by Title, Publisher, or Date. · View All Titles: Click on “View All Titles” to see a list of all titles in our subscription. The list can be sorted by Title, Publisher, or Date. Sort Search results are sorted by relevance. You can sort the list by Title, Publisher, or Date by clicking on the title of the column. View To view a book, click on it in the search results/list. Then click on the “Start Reading Online” button on the right hand side of the screen. On the main page for the book (book home page), you can read overviews and reviews (both editorial and user) as well as follow links to similar books. Jump to a section: Click on the link in the table of contents on the left hand side of the screen to jump to a particular section of the book. | Advanced Search TipsSearch Syntax | Search Type | Format | Example | Boolean Searching

| Viewing: When viewing a book you have two options: HTML and Print Fidelity View. Print Fidelity View is the original page image from the book. Printing: There is a small print link at the top of each HTML page, just above the title. The print option is not available with the Print Fidelity View. There is no way to print the entire book. Note: All copies of printed materials from a book must be destroyed when the title is no longer held in our subscription or the subscription is cancelled. Emailing: You can email a page to yourself or a group member. There is a small email link at the top of each page, just above the title. The email will contain the message you enter and a link to the page you were viewing. Durable Links: Durable links are listed at the bottom of each page. These links will allow you to easily get back to the book or section you want. (This is the link that is sent when using the email option.)
