For Obtaining a Company's Reports:

1. Make sure the Reference View tab is selected in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
2. In the Quick Search box, Enter company name or ticker symbol number and click GO If searching by company name, a company listing will appear.
3. Click on the Company Name for the profile of that company.
4. Click on one of the hyperlinks to view information.
   

Basic Steps for Filings:

1. Search Click on Filings in tool bar.
2. Click on Filings Search.
3. Enter company search criteria and/or filings search criteria and/or words to search Edgar.
4. Click on red Search button.

 Tip: Click on hyperlinks to display definitions of terms.

Online format options for viewing Edgar filings:

• View Online (with Navigational Table of Contents)
• Create Custom Filing (Using Tagged Sections)
• View Using Your Word Processor (RTF Format)
• View an Image using Adobe

Spreadsheet saving TIP:

Use the [F12] key to save Excel sheets that are embedded into the web browser window. If you are printing an image click the Print icon from the Adobe submenu bar. If you are printing a Word document click File....Print.  The magic [F12] key may be used to save a file you are viewing.  To download financials right click the link for the document and choose File....Save As.  Note: All file extensions used in Thomson Research will work in Excel.

Provides images of annual reports plus the full text or images of SEC filings - both registration statements and subsequent filings by all U.S. and more than 10,000 global companies.  Keyword searching available for the full text EDGAR filings and financials can be downloaded easily into Excel format.  Worldscope and D/SEC databases complement the filings with 10-Year history, institutional holdings and insider trading activities.

Visitors or alumni should try the free Edgar Database of Corporate Filings.

Note about spreadsheet financials:  Recent US 10-K, proxy and quarterly statements in spreadsheet format are entered as presented in the SEC filings.  Statements with 10-year history and financials and Worldscope and D/SEC database reports may have been modified into a standard format which may or may not accommodate mergers & acquisitions, and other financial data.  For most assignments, we recommend using the spreadsheets for current and older 10-Ks or proxy statements instead of the 10-year history.  See the Complete Filings History to locate proxy and older spreadsheets.
