Information Literacy Program
Group Instruction, Orientations/Tours, and Training Seminars

Librarians partner with faculty to assist and instruct students identifying, using and evaluating information sources. Librarians provide research guides, open workshops, individual and group consultations, plus faculty-requested research guides, workshops, and live demonstrations on research strategies for specific class projects. Faculty should call or e-mail to discuss your particular needs with your library liaison.

The instruction and information literacy program serves the students, faculty, and staff of the College. The purpose of the program is to assist members of the Babson community with developing information-seeking abilities appropriate for their individual levels of scholarship and to support their research. Through this program, the Library facilitates access to the variety of resources available, fosters a sense of independence and responsibility, and encourages a collaborative relationship with Reference/Instructional services staff.

Librarians offer various sessions for faculty, staff and students to learn how to access and use library resources. For more information view the current schedule.

Library Instruction Curricula Coordinators

The various curricula have different multidisciplinary orientation and instructional needs. Orientation programs are currently offered to incoming students via the First Year Experience (FYE) program, Rhetoric B, and to all graduate programs. We offer a company/industry research session to all sophomores in the Integrated Management Experience (IME).
