Finding Articles

FirstSearch
There are a few databases in the Arts and Humanities section that you should try including:
  • Arts & Humanities Search
  • WilsonSelect (has some full text journals not available in any other database)
  • Tips for searching FirstSearch:
Use advanced search, and search the title of the work as a DESCRIPTOR or SUBJECT. Look through your results and limit, if need be, by using keywords found in the descriptor field of the records. If you get no results, think creatively and use synonyms. Sometimes you may have to search for concepts instead of the work itself. Use this technique in the databases listed below as well

ProQuest.
Full text and summaries of articles on various topics.

InfoTrac Academic Search ASAP.
Abstracts and some full text of scholarly journals and periodicals.
