SESSION PANELS

Hello! Increasing your Visibility in your Organization:  How are women are marketing themselves in the workplace?  How do they tread the line between promoting themselves and feeling like they are bragging?  This panel  discussion will address career paths and choices that can increase visibility and lead to success.

HR Recruitment & Retention:  How can business build a successful partnership with HR in ways that can visibly impact the bottom line? What tools are available to chart the course and measure the success of HR?  This panel discussion will examine what can be done as recruits/employees and also what can be done by managers to capitalize on HR and build stronger productive relationships.

Mentor Me! Choosing an Executive Coach or Mentor: Is there a difference between a coach and a mentor?  What situations define which one to choose?  This panel discussion will explore the benefits derived from having a coach or mentor and how to identify good candidates for either one.

Selling it! Getting buy from your Organization: Is succeeding with the big idea all about getting the nod from the top or is there more too it than that?  How much does your ability to persuade all the stakeholders impact the level of success you can achieve?  This panel will examine how to identify where to focus influence and ways in which to recognize the warning signs before the project goes off the rails.

The Boys Club! Succeeding in a Male Dominated Industry:  Is there a secret handshake that they never taught us?  Or do we unconsciously exclude ourselves from succeeding in male dominated industries?  This panel will discuss strategies for succeeding in industries where traditionally women have be a scarcity. 

Getting More through Giving Back:  It is better to give than receive is a phrase heard often enough but is it true?  Do companies and employees really see the value that is gained from giving back?  This panel will discuss different paths to giving and the reasons and benefits behind choosing to do so.

True or False: Work/Life Balance: Is work/life balance a reality or is it a fairytale that has been passed down woman to woman?  Can balance exist between work and life?  This panel will address how women manage the balancing act and the decision process of how or whether to balance at all?

Effective Teams: Building Community instead of consensus:  Have you heard the saying a camel looks like a horse that was planned by a committee? What is the difference between community and consensus and how does it infer our ability to lead?  This panel will discuss women as managers and leaders and how they handle the trials of leadership within teams.

INDUSTRY CAREER PANELS

 Industry panels will allow attendees to hear about career path choices from individuals who are experiencing working in the particular industry.  These panels will be highly interactive and the audience is encouraged to participate.  The companies that are sending representatives to these panels are listed next to the panel title.
