TheArthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College has accepted 9 student businesses into the Babson College Business Hatcheries for the spring 2008 term. The Babson Hatcheries provide rent-free space and resources to current students in order to support their efforts to launch successful businesses.

The venture will expand the alternative energy market by making the adoption of solar electric and solar thermal technology easy and cost effective for mainstream consumers.

TDA, Technology Developers Associated (Martin Lewit, Kurt Mangold, Monica Trivedi, Felipe Pla and Pakpoom Sirhongthong) is a group of Chilean Hi-Tech Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SME’s) working together to establish a US based technology trader that will bring Latin America’s “High Quality/Low Cost” (HQ/LC) Software Project Development to US companies significantly improving the off-shore software development experience and creating multi-sourcing opportunities.

PrimeTime Lacrosse (Jason Wellemeyer and Tyler Low) is an online community that will allow lacrosse players worldwide to connect with one another. With lacrosse specific features such as a stick lab and recruiting section, users will have the unique opportunity to gain community status earning points through a ranking system that will allow them to gain access to merchandise and special areas of the community.
Sail(Proud) Apparel, LLC(Phil Tepfer, Charlie Bogoian and Allison France) sells comfortable, lifestyle apparel with a twist of performance for the everyday sailor. Designs are meant to be lightweight, soft, and focused on a passion for sailing—perfect for lounging around the house or sailboat, although they prefer the latter. Partnered with the Heart Of Sailing Foundation, Sail(Proud) helps children with developmental disabilities learn to sail through profit sharing, helping everyone get a chance to experience the wonders of sailing.
