In Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice
Babson College entrepreneurship professor and division chair Candida Brush co-authored an article, “Advancing a Framework for Coherent Research on Women's Entrepreneurship,” introducing women’s entrepreneurship as the theme for this two-volume special issue in Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice (ETP), for which she served as a special editor. In addition, Babson associate professor Nan Langowitz has been recognized in ETP for her article “The Entrepreneurial Propensity of Women” (May 2007), co-authored with Babson professor Maria Minniti, currently on leave at Southern Methodist University.
Announced by D. Ray Bagby, Executive Editor of ETP, Brush’s introduction was downloaded 661 times and Langowitz’s article was downloaded 576 times, ranking them among the top 20 downloaded from Wiley-Blackwell Synergy in 2007. “These results suggest a significant interest in women’s entrepreneurship and more opportunities for this kind of research and reporting,” according to Brush. “The message for Babson entrepreneurship researchers is that work published in this journal is being accessed, recognized and having an impact.”
Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice is one of the top most influential journals as recognized by Financial Times with an impact ranking of #9 out of the 64 ranked business journals, according to the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI).
