Babson College is among the sponsors of the Boston Business Journal's Corporate Citizenship Summit that will take place on September 11, 2009, from 7 to 11 a.m., at Marriott Copley Place, Boston.
This event features an awards celebration honoring top charitable contributors and provides tools and information on how to begin or sustain a charitable mission.
President Leonard Schlesinger will moderate a CEO Panel Discussion: The Business of Foundations and Giving in Challenging Economic Times. Panelists include
· Paul Grogan, President & CEO, Boston Foundation
· Blake Jordan, Executive Director, Highland Street Foundation
· Andrea Silbert, President, EOS Foundation.
President Schlesinger will also present three of the Partner of the Year awards, which recognize companies that engage in non-profit partnerships.
The event also features a keynote address by Charlie Baker, Former CEO of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and a presentation of the Lewis Family Foundation CEO Social Leadership Award to Joel Lamstein, Co-Founder & President of John Snow Inc., and a countdown of the region's Top Corporate Contributors to Massachusetts Non-Profits.
