Wellesley, MA…Babson College Visiting Economics Professor, Dennis Michaud, recently received notification from the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) , that his paper entitled, Recent Technical Papers on Corporate Governance, was a “Top 10 Paper” within Corporate Governance & Executive Compensation (CGA ) topics. The paper was also an “All Time Hit” for all papers in the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) eLibrary.
The SSRN data base contains over 95,000 papers of which more than 68,000 are downloadable. “It is the largest data base of social science including economics,” says Michaud, “I am extremely honored that my paper is top-ranked.”
Michaud’s paper is also included in the Stanford University Law School Working Paper series, and the Chicago Graduate School of Business Working Paper series.
Dr. Michaud has over 25 years experience in the private sector including investment banking, project finance, financial management and strategic planning. He was a founder or cofounder of five corporate start-ups, two which went public. He has been a visiting assistant professor of economics for five years at Brown University where he taught courses in international finance and trade, corporate strategy, corporate governance, and international negotiations. He continues to lead the corporate governance research program at Brown. He also served as a senior policy advisor to the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation where he develop a new corporate mission statement, corporate by-laws, and board of director best practices for RIEDC’s industrial development subsidiary. His research interests and publications focus on corporate governance and strategy. He has published in the Journal of Strategic Management Education, and Social Science Research Network. He is currently writing a book on corporate board leadership.
