The 3-day competition is hosted by the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.  The trip was made possible through financial support of the Cutler Center.

The RITC uses simulated trading cases that mimic various aspects of real world markets. Visit their website at http://www.rotman.utoronto.ca/finance/lab to find a description of the cases.

“I was very impressed with the Babson team’s hard work and innovative solutions to the four simulated trading cases (open outcry, quantitative outcry, sales & trader, and energy trading),” said faculty advisor and team coach Ryan Davies, who is a Babson finance professor. “In addition to developing sophisticated quantitative models for each case, the Babson team did a very good job at reacting on-the-fly to unexpected market inefficiencies in a trading environment that closely mimics real-world markets.”
