Babson Dean of Faculty Fritz Fleischmann has been invited to join the Board of Directors of the Stiftung Entrepreneurship (“Faltin Foundation for Entrepreneurship”), based in Berlin, Germany.

The foundation’s mission is to support a culture of entrepreneurship that fosters unconventional ideas and perspectives. Other board members are Hernando de Soto (Peru), Kurt Hammer and Holger Johnson (Germany), Gunter Pauli (Belgium), and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mohammad Yunus (Bangladesh) (Babson's 2005 Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Day speaker.

Fleischmann joined the Babson faculty in 1983 and has been serving as Dean of Faculty since 2003.

On July 12, he was a featured speaker in the Free University of Berlin’s lecture series on “Entrepreneurship: Qualification for the Future,” presenting a lecture on “Entrepreneurship and Emancipation: The History of an Idea.”
