For the tenth consecutive time, U.S.News & World Report magazine has named Babson the #1 undergraduate program in the U.S. for Entrepreneurship.

Babson is ranked #1 for Entrepreneurship followed by: #2 - University of Pennsylvania, #3 – Indiana University-Bloomington, #4 - University of Southern California, and #5 - Massachusetts Inst. of Technology.

“This distinction is yet another symbol of our continued leadership in advancing entrepreneurship education. Although this award is attributed to our undergraduate program, it is our pan-campus commitment to entrepreneurship and integrated approach to teaching that gives us our competitive advantage. We knew that entrepreneurial skills were essential for business leaders long before it was a popular concept. Now, not only is entrepreneurship education recognized as integral to all leading business schools it has become pervasive at liberal arts and discipline-related schools, such as engineering, as well. We blazed a trail and are excited about the many opportunities that we are aggressively pursuing to take entrepreneurship education to an even higher level and maintain our edge. Our global strategic alliance initiatives have been and will continue to be a key element in helping us do this,” said Stephen Spinelli, Jr., Vice Provost for Entrepreneurship and Global Management.

Babson moved up to #23 in the Best Business Program ranking (#26 last year), tied with Georgetown University, Arizona State University, Michigan State University, University of Notre Dame, and University of Washington.

For the first time, Babson is ranked in the Undergraduate business specialties: Real Estate category, at #23.

Babson is listed in the magazine’s “Schools with a Specialty - Business” section. Among the 17 schools, Babson received the highest scores in several categories:

  • Average freshmen retention rate - 93%
  • Average graduation rate - 85%
  • % of faculty who are full time - 85%
  • SAT/ACT 25th-75th percentile - 1180-1350
  • Freshmen in top 25% of HS Class - 85%

“This ranking is a result of the entire Babson community's unyielding dedication to the realization of our mission. We remain firmly committed to excellence as measured by our own internal standards, as well as those of the marketplace. Working together, we will continue to attain exceptional institutional achievement,” said Patricia Greene, Provost.
