6-13 Year-Olds Will Learn Entrepreneurship at the #1 School
Sons and daughters of Babson College faculty and staff will spend part of their day at Babson learning how to compete “Apprentice”-style from College students on Wednesday, April 18th.
Babson Entrepreneurial Teaching Alliance (BETA) students will host “The Apprentice”-style interactive session on entrepreneurship for children between 6 and 13 years of age as part of Babson’s 5th annual Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

Future entrepreneurs from last year’s sons/daughters class learn how to start & run a pizza business!
From 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm the Interactive Session on Entrepreneurship will take place with Babson students in the Blank Center Lobby (ground floor).
Children will be divided in groups, with each group inventing a product for company ‘ABC’ and competing with each other to make the best product.
As part of the exercise, the children will take part in an Entrepreneurship Scavenger Hunt in the Exhibit Hall. The schedule:
- Introduction by BETA students
- Overview of activities with the goal of creating a family business
- Defining Entrepreneurship
- Scenario – you’re an entrepreneur and want to start a new Candy Shop, What do you need to do?
- Explain Social and Family Entrepreneurship
- Each group presents its Business Plans and certificates are presented
- Scavenger Hunt through Arthur M. Blank Center Exhibit Hall
For the rest of the day, children accompanying their parents to Babson can attend undergraduate classes, ‘job shadow’ in their parent’s department, have lunch in the student dining hall, and attend a baseball game at Govoni Field on campus.
