Babson Executive Education's Susan Foley to Speak on Identifying, Nurturing, and Retaining Entrepreneurial Talent at The Human Capital Institute

WHAT:         Human Capital Institute Masters Webcast on “Identifying, Nurturing, and Retaining Entrepreneurial Talent”

WHEN:         Thursday, March 20, 2008, 12:00 PM PT, 3:00 PM ET

WHO:              Susan Foley, Founder of Corporate Entrepreneurs, LLC, and Executive Director, Research Centers at Babson Executive Education

As the market for talent heats up, the pressure to identify, develop, nurture, and retain entrepreneurial talent has increased. “The past failure to adequately define the drivers and competencies of successful corporate entrepreneurs is now coming to light,” said Susan Foley, Babson Executive Education’s Executive Director of Research Centers and Corporate Entrepreneurs, LLC Founder.  “The paradigm has changed from traditional career paths to being opportunity obsessed and engaging entrepreneurial talent to take ownership of their growth and development.”

In her session, “Identifying, Nurturing, and Retaining Entrepreneurial Talent,” Ms. Foley will reveal to talent leaders what matters to entrepreneurial talent and how to nurture and retain this critical human capital.  This information is based on research conducted by Corporate Entrepreneurs, LLC across a diverse set of industries to identify the competencies and behaviors of successful entrepreneurial leaders.

Attendees of this HCI Masters Webcast will takeaway an understanding of how entrepreneurial talent acts, thinks and works; methods to identify entrepreneurial talent within your organization; and specific recommendations on how to develop, nurture, and retain entrepreneurial talent using a variety of tools.

Ms. Foley has spent the last 20 years helping Fortune 1000 companies, professional services firms and entrepreneurial start-ups develop new businesses that have generated millions of dollars. As an experienced corporate entrepreneur, she understands the challenges of building an entrepreneurial environment for growth and she specializes in building new businesses with plans that are realistic and can be executed with precision.

Ms. Foley believes that many corporations do not fully understand the value of developing corporate entrepreneurship as a core competency. Her company, Corporate Entrepreneurs, LLC, was created to help change that. Recognizing that entrepreneurial leaders possess unique combinations of competencies that distinguish them from traditional leaders, and realizing that many corporate entrepreneurs were leaving large corporations because they were not being given opportunities to leverage their skills, she authored, “Entrepreneurs Inside:  Accelerating Business Growth With Corporate Entrepreneurs” to tell their story.
