Babson College and Zhejiang University Business School Establish Academic Partnership

Babson College and Zhejiang University Business School in China have announced a partnership to support student-oriented programs, curriculum development, executive education programs, faculty exchanges, and research projects.

Student Collaborations

Babson and Zhejiang will create a regular flow of students in both directions through student exchange protocols, establishing short term courses run in both institutions.

Curriculum Collaboration

Babson and Zhejiang will develop a global Master of Science (MSc) program with EM Lyon (France).

Executive Education Collaborations

Babson and Zhejiang will develop joint executive program courses, whether in degree or certificate programs, and examine the appropriateness of online and other distance learning approaches.

Faculty Collaborations

Babson and Zhejiang will exchange faculty for sabbatical or temporary assignments, strive for research collaboration, and encourage opportunities for visiting faculty.

Both schools will encourage the teamwork of individual faculty members between the two institutions and will invite their faculty to research presentations and research activities.

Joint Research Collaboration

Both Babson and Zhejiang will encourage the undertaking of joint research collaboration either for faculty-to-faculty projects, Babson centers to Zhejiang centers, or in larger collaborative ventures where several universities are joining forces.

The Babson centers and projects that will become points of collaboration include: The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship; the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) project; the Diana Project; the Glavin Center for Global Management; the Center for Women’s Leadership (CWL); Case Writing activities; and the Family Enterprising Project (STEP).

Patricia Greene, Babson Provost, said “Connecting with Zhejiang University right now is key.  The mutual promotion of entrepreneurship education allows students at both institutions to realize their entrepreneurship dreams while contributing real growth to their economies.”
