The Wall Street Journal has ranked Babson College #21 among the 51 Regional MBA programs, a gain of 14 places from last year’s #35 placement.
This ranking is solely based on the opinion of 4,430 corporate recruiters who rated full-time M.B.A. programs on 21 different attributes, including students' leadership potential and strategic thinking, their previous work experience, the faculty and curriculum, and the career-services office.
There are three rankings produced: National, Regional (Babson’s grouping), and International. These distinctions are based on program size, national reputation, and similar companies that recruit at the same schools.
In addition, among all 86 of the ranked US and international MBA programs, corporate recruiters ranked Babson #2 in Entrepreneurship, same as last year (behind Stanford), and #9 on “which M.B.A. program produces the most creative and innovative students”.
Recruiters said Babson’s students’ “most impressive features” included:
• Entrepreneurial focus
• Technical skills
• Well-rounded, hard-working
In addition, “some recruiters said Babson, best known for its entrepreneurship program, deserves credit for creating stronger relationships with companies through its career-services office”.
