Celtra Inc., provider of "Software-as-a-Service" mobile marketing platform for agencies and brands, secured Series A financing from RSG Capital http://www.rsg-capital.si/eng/intro a Slovenian based venture capital fund.
Celtra's service is a comprehensive mobile marketing solution suite, which includes SMS, MMS, Voice IVR, WAP and Mobile applications. The service is designed from marketing perspective and offers customization and creative freedom to developers. It provides a "single-access-point" solution to creative agencies enabling fast and simple campaign creation, deployment, management, distribution, and tracking. Celtra was established by Mihael Mikek M'06 and Maja Drolec M'07 while attending Babson.
This funding gives us one year time to demonstrate and prove the value of Celtra's software to the business of some major US and European brands and ad agencies. We want to be their bridge from online to mobile and take care of all their activities on mobile.
By using Celtra's service, an agency or a brand eliminates costs required for custom application development, service infrastructure and hosting, short-code provisioning, campaign integration with online media and distribution networks, while substantially cutting time required for campaign execution.
Several of the leading entertainment brands (20th Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Warner Bros and Paramount) have used Celtra's service for movie release campaigns such as Sex and the City, Meet the Spartans, What happens in Vegas, Tropic Thunder and others.
Together with a series of advisors the Celtra team is working to solidify Celtra's position in the market as a leading platform for mobile marketing and rich media mobile advertising. The company is headquartered in the Cambridge, MA with office in Cambridge Innovation Center. Celtra is opening a regional R&D and sales office in Ljubljana (Slovenia), in order to expand its operations to Europe.
