Babson College is cosponsoring the leading clean technology event, the Cleantech Forum XXIII, September 8-10, 2009, which will be held in Boston for the first time.
President Leonard Schlesinger will be giving a keynote address, “The Future of Entrepreneurship.” Babson is also sponsoring the award for the leading Cleantech Product Innovation. Mark T. Donohue, Babson College Clean Technology Entrepreneur-in-Residence, will lead the presentation, “Carbon Solutions for Business.”

Senior Adviser for Recovery Act Spending, U.S. Department of Energy
Rogers oversees the U.S. DOE’s disbursement of energy-related stimulus funding. He reports to U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu, and will offer insights at the Cleantech Forum into how the cleantech sector can best interface with the U.S. government to access billions in DOE funding. Rogers was formerly leader of McKinsey’s North American Petroleum Practice and was an advisor to the Obama presidential transition team.

Schlesinger is the 12th President of Babson College, which is the number-one rated school for entrepreneurship. His keynote will offer insights on “The Future of Entrepreneurship.” President Schlesinger was formerly Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer at Limited Brands, which employs over 80,000. He is the author, coauthor, or coeditor of nine books. Schlesinger’s academic career includes twenty years teaching at Harvard Business School, where he led MBA and Executive Education programs, plus a senior VP position at Brown University.
