Daylight Savings Time
All of the Daylight Saving Time patches have now been applied. Your calendars should now represent the correct times. Please take a look at your calendars to make sure that your appointments look accurate (specifically during the time period of March 11th to April 1st).
If your appointments are off by an hour, please click here.
The file will check to see if the DST patch has been installed on your PC. If not, the patch will install automatically. Once it is complete, please check your calendar to see if your appointments are correct.
If they are not correct, please contact the IT Service Center at x4357.
Wireless Network Change!
As of September 15th, Babson’s most commonly used wireless network, roam1, will be phased out and replaced with a more secure version. This change does not affect computers directly connected by network cable.
The new wireless network is Babson. This wireless connection will be the preferred method when using Babson College network resources.
A secondary wireless network is broadcast with the name OpenWireless (case sensitive). This configuration is for individuals who are not administrators on their systems but need internet access while on campus and for visitors to the campus who would like internet access during their stay. Many basic network resources can be accessed through the OpenWireless configuration by using the Babson Portal at http://portal.babson.edu.
For Undergraduate students in a T43 Laptop - Click here to run a file to update your laptop for the new network.
For Undergraduate students in a T60 Laptop - Your laptop is already configured for the new network.
