Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2007

The following instructions are for Outlook 2007. Click here for information on downloading or purchasing Microsoft Office (includes Outlook 2007) for your personal (non-Babson) computer.

  1. Click on Start, select Settings, then select Control Panel. (Windows XP users may only have to click on Start, then Control Panel)
  2. Double-click on the Mail icon.

  3. Click on the E-mail Accounts button.

  5. Click the check box next to ‘Manually configure server settings or additional server types’, then click Next.

  6. Select Microsoft Exchange and click Next.

  7. Enter STUMAIL1.BABSON.EDU(STUDENTS) or EMPMAIL1.BABSON.EDU (FACULTY/STAFF) for the Microsoft Exchange Server. Enter your User name and click the Check Name button. Click More Settings..

  8. Click the Connection tab. Check the box that says Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP. Click Exchange Proxy Settings.

  9. Make sure all settings match the screen shot below exactly. Once finished, click OK.

  12. Your account is now setup. Click Finish.

  15. Open Outlook. You will see this progress bar as it launches for the first time. Once Outlook opens, your e-mail account is now ready for use. Click on the Inbox to see your messages.
