Uniprint, Babson’s Public Print Management Solution
Babson College has recently implemented a print management system, Uniprint, by Pharos Systems. Uniprint provides advanced tools to help Babson manage the increasing costs of printing and at the same time offer a more flexible and secure environment than is possible with traditional print server technology. The most visible aspect of the Uniprint system are the new release stations located by the spooled public printers in Horn and Olin, which will allow users to release jobs sent to the spooled public queues to the printer of their choice.
Connect to a Public Network Printer on Campus
How you connect to a public network printer on campus will depend on whether your computer is a member of the Babson domain. If you are unsure whether you are logged on to the Babson domain or not, click here for assistance. If you are a Macintosh user, please see our Printing from Macintosh page.
Note: You will need to turn off any installed firewalls before following the steps below. When you are done, turn your firewall back on and allow the Pharos software to connect to the network when prompted.
