Click on Start, select Settings, then Control Panel. (Windows XP users may only have to click on Start, then Control Panel)
Double-click on the Mail icon.
Click on the Email Accounts button.
Select Add a new e-mail account, then click Next.
Select Microsoft Exchange Server, then click Next
Enter stumail1.babson.edu (STUDENTS) or empmail1.babson.edu (FACULTY/STAFF) in the Microsoft Exchange Server field and your username in the User Name field.
Click More Settings. Once you click the More Settings button you will receive a message saying that all actions will take affect after the application has restarted. Click OK. Select the Connection tab on the Microsoft Exchange Server menu. Under the Connections tab check Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP under the Exchange over the Internet section. Once this option is selected click the Exchange Proxy Settings button.
On the Exchange Proxy Settings menu enter sync.babson.edu for the URL to connect my proxy server for Exchange. Check connect using SSL only. Select Mutually authenticate the session and enter msstd:sync.babson.edu for the principle name. Check on slow networks connect using http first. For Proxy Authentication settings select NTML Authentication from the drop down menu. Click OK.
Click OK on the Microsoft Exchange Server menu, then click Next on the Email Account menu.
Click Finish. You have now setup Outlook to use HTTP. Once you open Outlook you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your Babson username and password.
