Windows Mobile/Smartphone

Below are instructions to setup your Windows Mobile/Smartphone device.

Locate the ActiveSync icon on your mobile device. It will look like this: undefined

To navigate to the ActiveSync icon, press the Home key, followed by the Start Menu Key. Navigate to the ActiveSync icon using the direction keypad, and press the button in the center of the directional pad.

  1. Note: You do not need to install the ActiveSync software itself as mentioned in the first screen (below)

  2. Click the Menu button and select Add Server Source

  3. Type sync.babson.edu in the Server Address field

    undefined

  4. Type your Babson username and password in the appropriate field, followed by the domain name of Babson

    Note: User name does not need the ‘@babson.edu’ extension.

  5. Select the data types you would like to sync with your device and then select Finish

  6. Your device will then synchronize which confirms that your device has been configured successfully.

Blackberry Configuration

Setting up your Blackberry from your device to retrieve your Babson email.

1.       Launch the email settings by clicking on the icon from the devices home screen.

2.       View the ‘End User Agreement” and accept all terms and conditions

3.       Type in your Babson email address and Password in the boxes provided and click ‘Next’

4.       You will see this window if you have completed the setup successfully.

iPhone Configuration

Setting up your iPhone from your device to retrieve your Babson email.

1.      From the home screen, choose ‘Settings, ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then ‘Add Account’ You will see an Exchange option at the top of the list.

2.   Provide your Babson email address, username (do not add Babson), password, and description. Click ‘Next’.

3.   The device will now verify your Babson Account Information.

4.   After the account has been verified you will be required to enter the ‘Server’ address.  The server name is SYNC.BABSON.EDU.

5.   After the server address has been verified you will want to confirm that your Mail, Contacts, and Calendars are synchronized.  You can do this by editing the account settings for ‘Babson’ email.
