Glavin ChapelThe Glavin Family Chapel is designed to meet the spiritual needs of all in an interfaith facility where members of the College community may practice their faith, seek inspiration and guidance, and find peace in the quiet of a sacred space.

Central to the campus, yet removed from the daily bustle, the Glavin Family Chapel rises on a hillside above the Sorenson Center for the Arts. Two granite walls of the foursquare form are visible from inside the Reynolds Campus Center, and a prow projects from the corner. Lifting directly out of this tower, a stainless steel sculpture reaches to the sky. The two glass walls opposite, quickened with dynamic, stained glass clouds and waves, allow the wooded natural landscape to blend with the serenity of a meditative space.

"On Course," 17 foot stainless steel
scultpture by Frances Pratt atop the chapel,
was created as a metaphor for sails

Uniquely beautiful carved wood features adorn the interior - celestial themes carved into the double sanctuary doors and terrestrial images of flowers and reeds on the altar/bimah. Like an arc crossing universal seas, a ship’s hull of Western red cedar sails overhead, forming the chapel’s lofty ceiling.  This main sanctuary of the Chapel has 150 chairs and a built-in audio system. Several configurations are possible for furniture set-ups, but chairs and other furnishings may not be removed from the main sanctuary.

The lower level holds a prayer room , a spiritual life office, a conference table, and restrooms. This level is available to the wedding couple on the day of the ceremony as a dressing room/ preparation space with the exception of the prayer room. (Please note that shoes must be removed before entering the prayer room.)
